The damage happened during construction of a multi storey block which is being built to house a new Breast Unit and new facilities for cystic fibrosis, Parkinsons, and Dermatology.A hospital spokesperson said; “Removing 16 beds from the system poses obvious difficulties but we are satisfied that all patients are being looked after and we are now appealing to the public and to all GPs in the region for their co-operation in this emergency.
